1. Do you have an RV campground?

Yes, it is located at the corner of Chanute 35th Parkway (a.k.a. 35th St.) and South Santa Fe Avenue. We have 30 stalls with 30–50 amp electric and water hookups, along with a dump station. The first two nights are free of charge, after that it is $10 a night up to 10-nights in any 30 day period. Availability is on a first-come first-served basis.

2. Do you rent out the shelter houses?

We do not rent out the shelter houses but we do take reservations (free of charge) for 25 or more people. The only time there is a fee is if you would need more picnic tables and/or trash barrels for your event. For reservations please call the Parks Department at (620) 431-5250.

3. I need to get a copy of my child’s recreation schedule, who do I talk to for that?

The Parks Department and Chanute Recreation are two different entities now. You can call the recreation office at (620) 431-4199; or you can look at the Chanute Recreation website.
